A bright morning in Cincinnati as students head to Walnut HIlls High School, where Cornelia was a member of the Class of 1964. She’d been invited to talk with the classes of teachers Blake Taylor, Dawn Wolfe, and Samantha Gerwe-Perkins—AP English, Creative Writing, and News. ![]()
“If you want to write creatively, read, read, read. And keep a diary or journal in which you can freely write whatever you want. Get a lock and key so you can keep your writing all to yourself. Each of us has our very own way of looking at the world, and our very own stories to tell,” Cornelia commented.
She later visited her childhood public library, discovering in the lower floor the plaque which was there when she was young.
On Tuesday evening, some of Cornelia’s classmates from Walnut HIlls came to Joseph-Beth to hear her read from her memoir, MISSING, and to hear about her children’s books. Joseph-Beth is a beautiful independent bookstore.
