Cornelia’s Art Exhibition Opens July 24, 2009 and remains through September 4th
Cornelia was selected to be an exhibiting artist through SPEX, ART & VISION program. There will be an opening reception—
You’re invited to stop in Friday, July 24th, 2009 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for drinks, hors d’oeuvres, the opening reception of Cornelia’s art, and a trunk show of Lafont eyewear at SPEX, 2000 Central St. in Evanston, IL (store number 847-864-0300). SPEX, “offering artfully crafted eyewear and sunwear to a stylish and discerning public with an eye for beauty and function,” sponsors ART+VISION, a rotating micro-exhibition series held at various SPEX retail locations throughout Chicago and suburbs. In choosing Cornelia’s art to be featured at the Central Street location, SPEX wrote, “The freshly vivid illustrations of Cornelia Maude Spelman convey a playful wit and character of her subjects—in this case, dogs. Her loose, illustrative style utilizes a humorous and fresh perspective.”
